Australia Jones Honeybee Neal
Australia was born in Flora, MS in Madison, MS. She started picking at the guitar when she was 5 years. She is self taught and got her inspiration from her daddy, a sharecropper musician who played in juke joints and churches in and around Flora. She is the sister of bluesman, Paul “Wine” Jones who recorded on the Fat Possum record label. Paul was her younger brother and she taught him tp play the guitar at an early age. In 2005 she promised her brother she would keep playing the guitar and keep the blues alive while he was on his death bed.
She has performed at Buddy Guy’s Club, The House of Blues , and the famous Double Doors music venue in Chicago, IL. She looks up to Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Jr Wells, Little Milton and her brother, Paul “Wine” Jones
She strives to keep performing and learning more about the blues everyday.
