Grease fire

Greasefire is a collaborative effort that includes Mark Yacovone on Accordion, Piano, and Hammond B-3, Tony Caldwell on bass and Bradley Gordon on drums. The instrumental project combines blues, jazz, funk, and a little of the unexpected. Yacovone, originally from Providence, Rhode Island, now makes his home in Oxford, Mississippi. Yacovone is probably least known for his brief television appearance in the reality series “Gene Simmons: Family Jewels”. Yacovone’s sideman contributions span several decades and genres and he has backed musical greats such as Mojo Nixon, Jody Williams, Buddy Cage, Maria Muldaur, and Jeff Daniels. In addition, Yacovone holds the keyboard position in the Amelia Eisenhauer Band (American Idol Finalist 2016) and is a regular in the house band for Thacker Mountain Radio. Caldwell originally hails from Tupelo, Mississippi and has recorded and/or toured with the Eric Deaton Trio, Shannon McNally, and Afrissippi. Caldwell has warmed the stage for Galactic, Mavis Staples, and the North Mississippi All Stars among others. Gordon grew up in Clarksdale, Mississippi learning to play in the juke joints along side many of the great Mississippi Delta bluesmen. He’s toured in Taiwan and Japan both drumming and DJing and has warmed the stage for acts including The Neville Brothers, Blues Traveler, Galactic, Wolfgang Gartner and Pierce Fulton.
