The 3rd Annual Oxford Blues Festival will take place Friday, July 20-22, 2012 in Oxford, MS outside at the Walton-Young House stage during the day on Friday and Saturday. There will also be music at indoor locations around the Historic Oxford Square on Friday and Saturday night, and music at the FoxFire Ranch on Sunday evening.
Headlining the festival this year will be Jody Williams, the last living original member of Howlin’ Wolf Band; Sam Mosely & The Mosely and Johnson Blues Band; Aaron Moore; and Effie Burt.
1-Day General Admission Tickets are $10.00 each for adults (13+) and $5.00 for kids (5-12) and free for kids under 5 years of age. A General Admission Weekend Pass may purchased for $25.00 in advance online. In addition, a VIP Day-Pass is $75.00 in advance online and the VIP Weekend Pass is $150. 00 in advance online.
There will be a special performance with Aaron Moore and Steve Nitros 7:15pm on Saturday, July 21, 2012 indoors at the University Museum. This is a ticketed event not included in the General Admission of the festival. Tickets to this performance are $20.00. However, this special performance is free to VIP Ticket holder(s).
For blues enthusiasts on a strict budget, the 3rd Annual Oxford Blues Festival will have at least 9 free shows indoors around the Historic Oxford Square (open to all, however minors must be accompanied by an adult). Check the line-up for details.
The 3rd Annual Oxford Blues Festival’sl main stage will be on the grounds of the Walton-Young House located at University Ave. & South 5th Street near the University Museums in Oxford, MS.
